The Evergreen Council on Problem Gambling is dedicated to helping youth become more informed and actively involved in making healthy choices, becoming positive role models, and developing leadership skills. We believe that using the arts is an effective path for achieving this mission. Through the arts, young people increase their motivation to learn and have an opportunity to:
- Learn from inspiring artists, musicians, poets, filmmakers, singers, and song writers
- Discover gifts and talents
- Increase self-expression and self-esteem
- Enhance life skills, such as persistence
- Foster creative problem solving
- Increase personal identity
- Engage in fun activities that foster positive values and explore issues they care about
